Accumulations are expected to be isolated and avoidable, confined to gully tops and coire headwalls. Forecast Weather Influences: Precipitation is expected throughout the period. This will fall as rain at all elevations during Tuesday night before transitioning to snow showers above 700 metres during the day. Winds will be mostly South-Westerly, veering to the West-South-West and West during the day. Storm force overnight, gale to very strong during the day. The freezing level will be 1700 metres overnight falling to 800 metres during day light hours. Observed Weather Influences: Precipitation fell as rain at most levels with a trace of wet snow above 1000 metres. Winds were very strong and from the South. At midday the freezing level was around 1100 metes. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack was firm and stable at all elevations above 950 metres, with a trace of wet snow at summit level. The largest continuous areas of snow are found on North-West through North to East aspects above 870 metres. Ribbons and isolated patches are found below this altitude. The avalanche hazard is Low.
