Avalanche Activity

Some snow fell yesterday. The avalanche danger will persist.

On very steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes and above approximately 2000 m individual small loose snow slides are possible as a consequence of the new snow. On sunny slopes as well as at low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

Snowpack Structure

In some regions 5 cm of snow, and up to 10 cm in some localities, fell on Wednesday above approximately 2000 m. The small quantity of fresh snow and isolated wind slabs are lying on a crust. Over a wide area only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Tendency

Gradual increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the snowfall.
