CM for 15.3 Existing snowpack stable and refrozen above 900m. New shallow windslab mainly on N-E aspects above 900m. Hazard Low

Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will be generally well bonded and stable. Its surface will refreeze above around 900 metres. Some new windslab will be deposited in wind-sheltered areas, mainly on North to East aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are not expected to gain significant depth or be extensive. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will be strong throughout the period, initially West-South-Westerly then backing to become South-South-Westerly during the evening. Some light snowfall above around 850 metres is expected this evening, then a dry night. Some light showers during the day, falling as snow above around 600 metres rising to 800 metres. The freezing level will rise to around 900 metres during the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with moderate Southerly winds. The freezing level was around 1100 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable, and is slowly thawing at all levels. Greatest remaining accumulations are on North to East aspects above 800 metres. Glide cracks continue to widen, mainly on steep North-East and East aspects. Unstable cornices remain in places, mainly above North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
