Forecast Snow Stability: Thaw conditions will become established overnight. The isolated and mostly avoidable accumulations of windslab that had formed on North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres will continue to consolidate. These will become well bonded and stable as colder conditions return later. Elsewhere terrain will be mostly bare. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Forecast Weather Influences: Insignificant precipitation overnight will be followed by a dry day. Winds severe gale force West-North-Westerly throughout. Freezing level rising above all summits overnight lowering to 800m by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: An overcast but dry morning with precipitation falling as very light snow above 800 metres from midday. Winds fresh North-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: Isolated accumulations of windslab have formed only in the most wind sheltered locations on North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are mostly shallow and avoidable. Elsewhere there is only a cosmetic covering of new snow above glen level. The avalanche hazard is Low
