Be alert for wind slabs on lee slopes and loose dry avalanches in steep gullies where enough snow has accumulated. Otherwise, very early season conditions will be encountered as the snowpack barely exists yet.

Nov 2nd Icefield patrol observed a few dry loose sluffs off extreme alpine terrain. The visibility was obscured for most of the distant locations.

The Icefields received 15-20cm of new snow on Nov 1st. Many areas remain below threshold values for avalanches except for high alpine areas that would have accumulated enough to be a concern. Alpine bowls and steep gullies are classic spots for early season avalanches.
