Weather models are inconsistent with forecasted snow amounts for this weekends storm. If snowfall amounts are higher than 30 cm hazard could be higher at all elevations. Investigate surfaces slabs thoroughly.
Tonight: Flurries, accumulation 7 cm. Light gusting to strong SW winds. Low -7.
Sun: Flurries, accumulation 6 cm. Light NE ridge top winds. Alpine temps high -11.
Mon: Cloudy with sunny periods and isolated flurries. Moderate NE winds. Alpine temps high -23, low -28.
Tues: Cloudy with sunny periods. Light NE winds. Alpine temps high -26, low -30.
10-20 cm of snow is forecasted for Sat night through Sun. This will overlie pressed surfaces and hard windslabs from extreme SW winds. A melt freeze crust up to 2000m and higher on solar aspects is found 30-50 cm down, no failures in test on this layer. Well settled midpack. Dec 4 crust, buried 150-200 cm.
