Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy snow will be firm, well bonded and stable with surface layers softening slightly during the day. Largest areas will be encountered in steeper, wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 1000 metres and on the highest mountains with summits over 1100 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation forecast. Light South-Easterly winds overnight, increasing in strength to become fresh South-South-Easterly during the day. Air temperatures dipping to become negative overnight above 900 metres, rising to become positive again during the morning. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with just the odd spot of rain when under the low cloud. Fresh to strong, generally Southerly winds. Freezing level around 1100 metres at midday.
