Convective cells will bring very light amounts of snow on a sporadic basis over the next 3 days. This, accompanied by light wind will have little effect on the danger rating. Be mindful of short burst of solar energy that can have a lot of impact this time of year.
Up to15cm of new snow from this storm in the alpine with moderate SW winds. Wind slabs up to 35cm deep are present in immediate lee areas of the alpine. The mid pack and base of the snowpack are well settled and well bonded overall. Isothermal snow below 2000m Saturday from rain.
No avalanches observed or reported today. However, there is a strong likelihood that wet loose avalanches were running on solar aspects this afternoon.
