As a consequence of the moderate northeasterly wind the prevalence and size of the avalanche prone locations will increase in the afternoon. The fresh wind slabs can in isolated cases be released, even by a single winter sport participant, especially adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas, in particular on very steep slopes. As a consequence of the moderate wind individual natural dry avalanches are possible, but they can reach medium size in isolated cases, especially on extremely steep slopes, and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls in high Alpine regions.

Monday: In some localities 5 to 20 cm of snow, but less in some localities, has fallen thus far above approximately 1800 m. The old snowpack is well consolidated and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a strong melt-freeze crust. The sometimes strong wind will transport the new snow. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes there is still a very large amount of snow.

As a consequence of a sometimes strong wind from northerly directions, wind slabs will form on Wednesday. The snowpack remains prone to triggering in some places.
