Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.

In some regions 15 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2700 m. As a consequence of mild temperatures and high relative humidity no crust will develop on the surface. The weather conditions will cause a weakening of the snowpack in all aspects. The conditions in all altitude zones are spring-like.

In some localities 10 cm of snow will fall.

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions. The weather will be very cloudy over a wide area. Up to 2400 m and above rain will fall. In all regions small and medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of the precipitation, in particular on very steep slopes, and at the base of rock walls and above approximately 2400 m. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater. At high altitude an unfavourable avalanche situation will prevail. The wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. The wind slabs are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility.
