The danger of moist and wet avalanches will increase during the day. In addition the wind slabs should be taken into account.

Over a wide area 5 to 20 cm of snow has fallen since Wednesday above approximately 1700 m. The wind was strong to storm force at times. In places that are protected from the wind wind slabs formed. These are poorly bonded with the old snowpack in all aspects above the tree line. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack.

In the afternoon as a consequence of new snow and strong wind there will be only a slight increase in the avalanche danger.

The danger of moist and wet avalanches will increase during the day. In addition the wind slabs should be taken into account.

Fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases above approximately 2000 m. The prevalence of the avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude. Some natural avalanches are possible. On very steep grassy slopes more gliding avalanches are possible. As a consequence of warming during the day more frequent moist loose snow avalanches are to be expected. This applies in particular on very steep slopes in particular below approximately 2000 m, as well as at the base of rock walls. Sometimes avalanches are medium-sized.
