Monday will be a near repeat of Sunday when it comes to weather and avalanche hazard. Continued cool temperatures mean that sizeable Wet Loose avalanches are unlikley, and any instabilities will be isolated to the steepest, sunniest slopes, particularly around rocks and cliffs.
Temperatures on Monday will be just warm enough to include Wet Loose on our problem-type list. Any Wet Loose avalanches are likely to be shallow. By their nature: shallow, and limited to very steep, sunny slopes they are more of hazard when it comes to knocking a rider of their feet than they are for burrying someone.
It has been a few years since we had such a continuous corn cycle! Aside from the inch or two of snow on Saturday, it's hard to remember a day that wasn't sunny and clear! The next few days look to be no different, although cooler temperatures on Monday mean that things won't be melting and softening to the same extent as they were last week. Any unstable snow from warming will be limited to steep South slopes.
