Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to refreeze and stability will be generally good. Isolated areas of moderately bonded windslab will develop on mainly North-West to North-East aspects above 850 metres. These deposits are not expected to be extensive with steep wind sheltered locations such as gully tops being most affected. Elsewhere, the patchy snow cover will have a thin dusting of new snow above around 500 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Fresh Northerly winds will ease overnight then back Southerly and increase through the day to Fresh. Light showers in the evening and afternoon will fall as snow above around 500 metres. Dry overnight and morning. The freezing level will be around 600 metres, briefly lowering overnight. Observed Weather Influences: Dry overnight. Drizzle arrived during the morning followed by rain which became heavier from midday onwards. Moderate West-South-West winds started to veer Northerly during the afternoon. The freezing level was above the summits, lowering during the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Wet snow instabilities are present on steep North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. Cornices remain a significant hazard and are prone to collapse. Elsewhere, the thawing and patchy snow pack is becoming saturated and stability is generally good. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
