Above approximately 700 m snow will fall until late morning. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate wind, further wind slabs will form. They can be released easily and reach very large size. In many cases avalanches can be triggered in the various wind slab layers. This applies in particular on steep slopes above the tree line, as well as in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. As a consequence of warming and solar radiation, the natural avalanche activity will rapidly increase, in particular in case of releases originating from steep sunny starting zones that still retain some snow. Backcountry touring calls for great caution and restraint.

Up to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until late morning above approximately 1500 m. As a consequence of the moderate wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on soft layers. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise from early morning to rapid and thorough wetting of the snowpack in particular on steep sunny slopes at low and intermediate altitudes. Above approximately 1000 m a lot of snow is lying.

The weather conditions will give rise to gradual settling of the snowpack.
