Avalanche Summary

Expect the avalanche danger to rise throughout the day as periods of heavy snowfall and shifting winds add load to a variable snowpack. You might be able to trigger a smaller avalanche in freshly drifted snow, or a more massive and destructive one that breaks deep in the snowpack. Steep northeast through east to southeast-facing slopes near ridgelines and at upper elevations are the most dangerous. Given high uncertainty, choosing less risky, lower-angle terrain is the safest option.
