Avalanche conditions are generally safe. If you were to trigger a small avalanche, it would be where you find stiff slabs of snow on steep, rocky slopes at upper elevations. Wind-pressed stiff surfaces appear smooth, so look for the rippled texture to avoid pockets of firmer snow.
