Low snow and limited coverage make avalanches unlikely. If you were to trigger a small slide, it would be in an area of firm, wind-drifted snow. The more dangerous areas are where winds have pressed snow into hard slabs in cross-loaded gullies and around rocky outcrops on steep, exposed slopes.
