Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect. Very dangerous avalanche conditions will begin overnight on Monday and last through the day on Tuesday.

You can easily trigger an avalanche on any slope that held continuous snow coverage prior to Monday night's storm. These avalanches can grow large enough to bury you and you can trigger them from a distance. Expect to see avalanches occur naturally on northerly and easterly slopes near and above the treeline where the wind drifts additional snow onto very weak snow surfaces. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.
