Avalanche Summary

Avoid travel on and under steep slopes that face northwest through northeast to southeast, especially in near and above treeline areas where the wind is building thicker, denser slabs over an incredibly weak snowpack.

Stick to wind-sheltered areas or low-angle terrain without steeper connected slopes above you. Although avalanches will be smaller in below treeline areas, they still could grow large enough to knock you down and send you for a dangerous ride through the trees.
