The general avalanche hazard is LOW. Several inches of new snow that accumulated during the past several days lies upon firm old snow surfaces. The snowpack is mostly stable however, skiers or climbers who venture into very steep terrain could trigger shallow loose snow sluffs and/or isolated pockets of soft slab up to eight inches in depth.

Snowfall resulting from these systems may be heavy at times although short in duration and distribution. Temperatures should rise into the upper twenties in the mountains and the upper thirties at low elevations where some rain is potential to fall. Winds are to be light. The general avalanche hazard will be LOW. Above 8500' backcountry travelers have the potential to trigger new snow sluffs or potentially shallow soft surface slabs in very steep terrain.
