Yesterday a rain crust was observed on the snow surface at all elevations. A melt/freeze cycle and continued settlement have helped stabilize the snowpack. With overnight lows below freezing the hazard at all elevations is low this morning. The hazard will increase as rising air temperatures and sunshine combine to warm and soften the snow surface. The potential to trigger slab avalanches and wet slides on steep slopes will increase as the day warms. Avoid sunlit cliff areas, steep snow covered slopes and the runout zones beneath them after significant warming has occured.
