Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Soft shallow (two feet deep or less) surface slabs and deep (up to five feet) older harder slabs exist and could be triggered today on some steep wind loaded slopes, especially with larger triggers such as snowmachines. Good snow stability evaluation skills are essential for travel in steep avalanche prone terrain.
