Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of dense slab to 3 feet in depth persist on steep wind loaded aspects. These pockets lie on weak layers of faceted snow. Backcountry users, especially large loads like snowmobiles, could trigger these slabs on steep slopes and in cliff areas. Mostly stable snow exist on lower angle slopes. Avoid steep banks, gullies and the starting zones of know avalanche paths.
