Highlights

Soft slabs to 18" in depth have been formed by the last two storm cycles. These slabs could be human triggered today on steep wind loaded aspects. These soft slabs, or hamans, particularly snow machiners could also trigger the persistent deep slab instability which could pull out to the ground. These deep, hard slabs could cause severe trauma and/or deep burial to anyone involved in the slide.
