( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )On Sunday skies will be overcast with mountain snow showers developing in the afternoon and becoming widespread in the evening. Morning temperatures will be inverted above valley fog. At sunrise temperatures will be near 15 degrees on the summits and in the single digits in the valleys. Daytime highs will rise into the upper 20s. Winds will be southwesterly at 30 to 35 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW in the Teton and Continental Divide/Togwotee Pass areas and MODERATE in the Southwest Trails/Greys River area. LOW hazard does not mean there is no hazard. In the Teton and Continental Divide Togwotee Pass areas the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanche are unlikely except on very steep slopes and in cliff areas. Humans who venture into these areas, especially those on snowmachines, could trigger isolated pockets of surface slab up to 18 inches in depth.In the Southwest Trails/Greys River area surface slabs up to two feet in depth persist and could be triggered by humans who venture onto steep avalanche prone slopes.
