Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE and will INCREASE as the day progresses. Dense surface slabs lie on an unstable snow pack made up of faceted snow. New snow, rain and wind will add an additional load to this unstable snowpack. These slabs should be easily triggered today and could release naturally especially on steep wind loaded northerly and easterly aspects. Once triggered these slabs will likely step down to deeper layers or the ground.
