Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected. Snow cover will remain good above 1000 metres. This will continue to slowly thaw. Stability will generally be good. Remaining sections of cornice will be prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: The mild weather will continue with the freezing level remaining well above the tops. However, it will be a bit cloudier than of late. Moderate winds will be from the South-West. Observed Weather Influences: Another warm, dry and sunny day with light Southerly winds. The freezing level was well above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The spring snowpack continues to thaw and consolidate. Although some minor surface instabilities exist on some steep slopes, stability is generally good. Remaining cornices are slumping and prone to collapse in the mild conditions. The avalanche hazard is Low.
