Avalanche danger is LOW, but naturally triggered wet loose-snow avalanches become likelier during the course of the day in steep terrain. Avoid glide cracks and fishbones!
The snowpack becomes soft and moist swiftly. Low altitudes and south-facing slopes are bare of snow up to high altitudes, the rainfall will amplify this process.
Friday will begin with sunshine, then convective cloud build-up is expected during the day. In Niedere Tauern and Turrach-to-Pack, minor rain showers cannot be ruled out. Temperatures can drop slightly. At midday at 2000 m: +3 degrees. Light northerly winds.
Hardly any change in weather and avalanche conditions is expected.
