Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with near gale South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 1200 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The generally firm snowpack softened slightly below 1000 metres during the day. Some shallow and avoidable patches of windslab remain on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. These were further consolidating in mild and settled conditions. Stability is generally good throughout. The avalanche hazard is Low.
