Forecast Snow Stability: Below 1100 metres the snowpack will slowly thaw, above this level not much change is expected, it will remain generally firm. Stability will be generally good throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: A cloudy day which will be generally dry although a few very light rain or sleet showers are possible. The freezing level will be around 1200 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with near gale South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 1200 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The generally firm snowpack softened slightly below 1000 metres during the day. Some shallow and avoidable patches of windslab remain on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. These were further consolidating in mild and settled conditions. Stability is generally good throughout. The avalanche hazard is Low.
