Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will rise above the summits with light rain at all levels during the day. Strong Southerly winds throughout. Observed Weather Influences: A dry and sunny day. A cold start with the freezing level rising throughout, around +2 degrees at 900 metres by early afternoon. Winds were Westerlies for most to the day, initially quite strong but easing later. ObservedSnowStability: The snow cover is firm and often icy, only softening where exposed to the sun but remains well bonded and stable throughout. General cover is generally good above 900 metres, particularly on South-West through North-West to North aspects and high plateau\'s. Becoming increasingly patchy below this level. The avalanche hazard is Low.
