Avalanche Activity

Moderate avalanche danger will prevail.

The avalanche-prone wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence. The avalanche prone locations are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Avalanches can be released, mostly by large additional loads.

Snowpack Structure

The fresh and older wind slabs remain prone to triggering. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. The weather conditions gave rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack in some cases.

Tendency

Heavy snowfall to low altitudes: The avalanche danger will increase.
