Forecast Snow Stability: New accumulations of windslab will build, mainly above 900 metres in wind sheltered locations on West to North aspects with South-West and North-East aspects also affected by cross-loading. Where new accumulations develop over older snow-ice they will only be moderately bonded. Snow will be moist but well bonded at lower levels. Cornice stability will remain suspect. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level is expected to drop to around 900 metres with precipitation falling as snow around this level by the end of the period. Precipitation was light, with occasional snow flurries falling above 800 metres. There was a strong breeze, mostly South-South East, occasionally South. ObservedSnowStability: There has been some consolidation of recent deposits with snow loss noted at lower levels.The majority of the snow is soft and moist but instabilities persist in deeper deposits, mainly on South-West through West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. Stability of any remaining cornices remains suspect. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
