Largest areas will be found on North to East aspects above 850 metres with the high mountain plateaus also holding good cover. Well broken, patchy snow on South and West aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation has been forecast for the area. Winds will be fresh to strong South-South-Westerly, veering West-North-Westerly. Freezing level above the summits overnight, gradually lowering during the day to reach 1000 metres by the end of the period. Observed Weather Influences: A dry, bright and sunny day with light West-North-Westerly winds backing and increasing to become fresh West-South-Westerly. Freezing level well above all summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is thawing in the mild conditions but is well bonded and stable. Cover is becoming more patchy, but large areas exist on the high plateaus and North to East aspects above 850 metres. Rock and ice fall remain a hazard from steep cliffs during prolonged thaw periods. The avalanche hazard is Low.
