Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain frozen and stable in most places. Isolated and shallow areas of windslab will be present in very sheltered locations mainly on West and North-West aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: There will be strong East-South-Easterly winds and occasional showers falling as snow above 400 metres. The freezing level will be around 400 metres overnight then rising slightly during the day. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day with strong East-South-Easterly winds. The freezing level was around 600 metres at midday and slowly dropping. ObservedSnowStability: Snowpack is generally good with an icy surface in most places. Isolated and shallow areas of moderately bonded windslab are present in very sheltered locations mainly on West and North-West aspects above 700 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
