The general avalanche hazard is LOW at all elevations. At the upper elevations overnight winds have created pockets of surface slabs to 6 inches in depth in steep, wind loaded terrain that could be triggered by backcountry enthusiasts.

Mountain snow showers will continue tonight then taper off after midnight. Little accumulation is expected. Partly cloudy skies with a chance of light snow are expected Wednesday. Temperatures at 10,000 feet will rise into the mid twenties and ridgetop winds will be in the teens from the northwest backing to the southwest ahead of an approaching storm Wednesday night.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW at all elevations tomorrow morning and may increase if clear skies permit warming of southerly aspects where wet, loose slides could be possible. Backcountry users are advised to consult area specific forecasts issued every morning as new information may become available and unexpected weather can change conditions.
