The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning as below freezing overnight temperatures have hardened the snow surface and avalanches are unlikely. The hazard will rise to MODERATE this afternoon as warming and potential rain weakens the snowpack providing for the possibility of wet slides on most aspects and elevations and new shallow surface slabs form in the highest elevation starting zones.
