Avalanche Summary

Start and end your day early, and you can expect generally safe avalanche conditions. Later in the day, especially following any amount of rain on snow, you might trigger a wet avalanche if you find just the wrong spot. Avoid slopes steeper than 40 degrees where you sink past your ankles in wet snow. You are more likely to encounter these unsupportive conditions in spots with a shallow snowpack or near protruding rocks.
