Avalanche Summary

You can trigger avalanches in wind-drifted snow on easterly-facing slopes at upper elevations. Avalanches can grow large if they step down to buried crusts, 2 to 4 feet in the snowpack.

Watch for the snow surface getting wet during the day on Saturday. Small wet avalanches can be hard to escape and they can take you into terrain traps or over cliffs.
