Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Soft surface slabs up to two feet in depth persist in avalanche prone terrain. These slabs lie upon a weak faceted snowpack. Riders and skiers who venture into steep wind loaded terrain could trigger these slabs which then have the potential to step down to deeper layers. The consequences of riding in avalanche prone terrain should be considered today.
