Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will increase to MODERATE this afternoon. Several days of warm afternoon temperatures and freezing at night have resulted in a strong surface crust on all aspects. This crust will weaken as temperatures increase today. Once softened wet slab and wet loose avalanches could be triggered today by backcountry users in steep avalanche terrain. Once triggered these avalanches could run to the ground as deep instabities persist in the snowpack.
