Avalanche Summary

Strong winds drifted snow into reactive slabs on north through east-facing slopes. Recent avalanches were observed in Rocky Mountain National Park. Avoid wind-drifted slopes with hard snow near ridgetop and in cross-loaded gullies, and you can greatly reduce your risk of getting caught in an avalanche.
