Avalanche Summary

Multiple reported avalanches from North Routt County to Buffalo Pass indicate dangerous avalanche conditions. You can trigger avalanches on a weak layer of snow buried one to two feet in the snowpack. Some of these avalanches are breaking widely. Stick to slopes with thick crusts either at the surface or just under the new snow to reduce your risk of avalanches. Slopes less than about 35 degrees are also lower risk.
