Avalanche Summary
Generally safe avalanche conditions exist mainly due to an unusually shallow snowpack. Hitting a rock or a log is a greater threat than triggering a dangerous avalanche at the moment. If you encounter stiff, wind-drifted snow on a steep, planar slope, consider going around it, especially if it is above a terrain trap such as a cliff or creek.
Expect the danger to increase on Friday with the arrival of a storm.
