Avalanche Summary

You can easily trigger an avalanche where strong west-southwest winds continue to drift recent snow into a thick cohesive slab on north through easterly-facing slopes. Expect to find slabs forming further down the slope than expected and at lower elevations on Wednesday. Look for and avoid slopes with rounded lens-like snow surfaces below ridgelines, on the sides of gullies, or convex rollover. Safer travel options exist on slopes less than about 30 degrees.
