Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. New snow and wind have deposited soft slabs to a foot in depth in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas at higher elevations. These slabs lie on slick crusts and pockets of slab could be triggered today by snowmobilers and skiers. Once triggered, these avalanches could step down into deeper layers of weak faceted snow.
