Highlights

Pockets of soft slab up to two feet in depth exist at all elevations and could be human triggered today. The common weak layers are light density snow, buried surface hoar and near surface faceted crystals. Skiers have triggered soft slabs on surface hoar at lower elevations. This weak layer persists. Backcountry travellers should use caution today and avoid steep avalanche prone terrain, steep banks, roadcuts, wind loaded cliff areas and be aware of terrain traps.
