Highlights

If you've been in the mountains at all this week, then you know what to expect on Saturday.  The weather and avalanche hazard will remain unchanged.  Significant avalanches are unlikely.  Continue to watch for unstable snow on isolated terrain features (in this case steep sunny slopes).

Avalanche Discussion

All week we have had spring-like conditions; each day has been sunny and warm, and then each night the snow has refrozen (some nights have been quite cold!).  Snow surfaces have been softening nicely when they are in direct sunlight.  As a result of some very stout crusts in our upper snowpack we have seen remarkably little Wet Loose avalanche activity.
