Forecast Snow Stability: Significant accumulations of moderately bonded windslab will persist mainly on North through East to South aspects above 750 metres with localised and generally avoidable pockets on other aspects. Coire rims and gully tops will be most affected. During the morning wet snow instabilities will develop and cornices will be prone to collapse. There will be a gradual thaw at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Fresh South-South-Easterly winds will veer becoming South-South-West and increase to Gale force overnight. Insignificant snowfall will be confined to the highest summits. The freezing level will rise above summit height in the early hours where it will remain for the rest of the day.

Observed Weather Influences: A dry and sunny day with light South Easterly winds. Freezing level was around 400 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Areas of moderately well bonded windslab persist, primarily on North through East to South aspects above 750 metres. Coire rims, gully tops and wind sheltered locations being most affected. Localised windslab is also present on other aspects. Fresh avalanche debris observed on a South-East aspect at 900 metres. At lower elevations the snowpack is starting to consolidate. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
