The new snow and wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence.
The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. The fresh wind slabs are mostly small but to be assessed with care and prudence. Winter sport participants can release avalanches in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines.
In some localities in some regions up to 10 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1600 m. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations above the tree line. In very isolated cases weak layers exist in the centre of the snowpack, especially on shady slopes above approximately 2200 m, and on sunny slopes at elevated altitudes. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying.
