The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, in all aspects above approximately 1800 m. At transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater. In many places there is a danger of falling on the icy crust.
In some places wind slabs are lying on an icy crust. In addition wind slabs formed in all aspects. Weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in all aspects.
